Property Crime is defined as being any crime which involes someone taking money or property but it doesnt involve any force or threat against a victim. It is also categorized as a high volume crime. Examples of property crime are burglary, theft, arson, larceny, shoplifting, and vandalism. And although robbery does involve the taking of money or property it is not a property crime because it involves force or threat against a victim.
